Richard Kellermeyer joins BeSmartee to lead the company’s growing engineering team and hone its innovation culture.
HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. (PRWEB) OCTOBER 12, 2021 — BeSmartee, award-winning fintech firm and leading developer of modern digital mortgage platforms, continues to position itself for growth with the hiring of key leadership additions. Richard Kellermeyer brings more than 20 years of engineering experience to BeSmartee, and serves as the company’s Director of Engineering.
More than an experienced application architect and proven technology leader — with a long history of building teams and developing high quality technology products — Kellermeyer is also a developer advocate with a passion for empowering and encouraging his teams to thrive in a strong, supportive culture of creativity and innovation.
“Tim’s vision is to make BeSmartee a forever company — one that promotes professional and personal growth,” Kellermeyer said. “I look for well-established cultures and, for me, BeSmartee is an opportunity to work with like-minded leadership, where we have a shared vision to be fearless, selfless, committed and excellent.”
Before BeSmartee, Kellermeyer served as the engineering manager, technical lead at Roostify, where he oversaw the daily operations of multiple development teams. Throughout his career, he has written several provisional patents, led teams at eight startups and worked as a chef for fine dining restaurant groups.
“There are many emotional similarities between the culinary arts and software,” Kellermeyer said. “Think about software versus a plate of food. Software is the cohesion of multiple parts of logic and a plate of food is the cohesion of elements of a plate and how they work together — flavors, smells and visuals. You can measure success by how happy your customer is. If you don’t have good teamwork, in both cases, the end result will fall apart because there isn’t a shared vision. It’s my goal to ensure that our development team maintains a shared vision to build upon the company’s success and make BeSmartee the absolute best platform on the market.”
In his new role, Kellermeyer is accountable for driving the company’s technical and product strategies in support of the company’s aggressive growth trajectory.
“Richard will play an integral and strategic role in heading BeSmartee’s software development team,” said Veronica Nguyen, Executive Vice President and Co-founder of BeSmartee. “We are pleased to welcome Richard to our executive team during a year of tremendous growth for BeSmartee. He brings deep engineering expertise, and we look forward to working with him.”
Kellermeyer will report directly to BeSmartee CEO Tim Nguyen.
The company will be attending the MBA's Annual Convention & Expo 2021 Sunday, October 17 to Wednesday, October 20. Attendees will also be able to learn more about the BeSmartee’s Mortgage Point-of-Sale (POS) and Wholesale Third-Party Originator (TPO) platforms — at booth number 404 in the convention’s Exhibit Hall and at the Hillcrest B&C meeting rooms at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego.
